I really like my new GPS, it was easy to set up and simple to use. I got it on sale so great value too!
What's great about it: easy to set up and easy to use
What's not so great: I wish you could charge it wen the car was't running

Great GPS at a Great Price

I owned an older Garmin with all the bells and whistles but decided to go for this new one rather than paying $100 to update maps for 2010 because it has lifetime traffic and a larger screen. My old one had bluetooth, but the quality of voice transmission was poor. I use my Plantronics headset for that. My old Garmin was good, but the new one gives refined the oral directions with much more clarity on lanes to be in. I always take it with me when I travel and hop into my rental car with confidence that I can get anywhere I need to be, and find a Micky D's along the way. It easily fits into my purse.
I liked it so much I gave each of our children one for Christmas. They had TomToms before and were pleasantly surprised to see how much better Garmin is. Great unit, dependable delivery and great price from BestBuy!
What's great about it: Clear directions, traffic feature is fantastic, better than the older Garmins
What's not so great: No bluetooth, but I had this on my old Garmin and ended up buying a Plantronics headset for better quality transmission.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Just needed a simple Garmin without all frills like resturants, etc. This one is great. Easy to program, easy to understand. Recalculates route quickly if you want to take a different road or miss your turn. Very happy with the Garmin we bought
What's great about it: Easy to program, good sale price, easy to understand, good visual, both day and night
What's not so great: Only 4 hour battery life so for longer trips, needs car attachment
I would recommend this to a friend!

We used it to go to Groton, CT it kept saying to take 95 which took an extra 40 minutes. We ended up taking friends of ours suggestion to take 287 one of the trips and it was much better. I tried to change the preferences to match our route and then it took us on all these little tiny roads. There should be a way to save a preferenced route.
What's great about it: Good price
What's not so great: The route wasn't the best
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This GPS does everything that I need it to do. I wish it would tell how many miles more to go instead of your ETA. I also wasn't overly thrilled with the options for the voices. I like that you can store several favorite places. The maps are up to date and easy to read.
What's great about it: Does what I need it to do
What's not so great: Base doesn't stick to anything-doesn't show how many miles to go
I would recommend this to a friend!

The Garmin 255WT with a large display and free traffic for life was a great buy. The basics are easy to use with the quick start manual but you have to log on to the internet to down load a (one time free) map update from Garmin however a USB cable is not included.
What's great about it: Large 4.3 inch screen with very good 3D graphics
What's not so great: USB cable not included which is needed for additional internet instructions.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Good unit. Slight upgrade from the 225W. My daughter especially liked the French voice for her choice.
What's great about it: get's my daughter to where she needs to be
What's not so great: sticking the suction cup to a curved dash - it will not stick

Very simple to use, well thought out software. Only drawbacks I have found so far are the list of businesses seems to be selective and I have notice an error or two in the maps. I'm sure this will get better over time as they continue to update. Overall a very impressive piece of technology that really makes my life a lot easier.

What's not so great: maps are not always correct
