Great GPS for the money

We have used this to drive to South Carolina. It made the trip so easy for us. Told us traffic to avoid, restaurants/fast food, gas stations. Easy to use and no problems with the maps.
What's great about it: Great price
What's not so great: nothing bad about it

Unit is good, dash disc is horrible

The actual Garmin unit is very good but due to complaints from customers, who felt they should be able to remove the dash disc from their car dash, they made the glue less effective and now the disc is no longer sticky enough to adhere to the dash and is totally worthless. I prefer to use the GPS from the dash and not have cables hanging from my windshield and have tried a beanbag and it slides around too much. It seems like Garmin would be covered if it made it clear in the instructions that the dash disc was a PERMANENT installation and could not be removed. That way, people could use the windshield or a beanbag if they didn't want it on their dash. This is a deal breaker for me.
What's great about it: unit itself
What's not so great: dash disc
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

bought this gps and went out sking and it didnt miss a beat and it got me to the mountain comes with everything needed garmin makes a great product

I bought this unit for $100 on the web site and picked it up an hour later, I haven't had any issues with it, it's a pretty good unit, it does a horrible job predicting when you'll arrive but you start to learn what it really means. I use this for work and I've already put a couple thousand miles on it and I still like it. If I could change one thing it would be the ability to change from estimated time of arrival to distance to destination
What's great about it: Good price, easy to use
What's not so great: irrelevant advertising
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is all you should need for any trip in your car. The bells and whistles on some of the other GPS units are nice, but you don't need them. The NUVI 255WT is the 2nd one I have bought. I now have one in each vehicle. I haven't figured out the traffic part yet. Maybe I don't need it. Maybe it will come in handy when travelling through a bigger city.
What's great about it: Good Price/Ease of use

This is my second Garmin Nuvi. I love it. It's easy to use and works great. This new one has live traffic which makes it even better than my last one.
