Firefight is a great addition to Halo and the campaign was interesting and fun, but the campaign is too short, and firefight has no matchmaking option. I believe that is a huge mistake, and if they had a matchmaking option for firefight, this would be game of the year material, but without it, it feels like an expansion. I still recommend this game, but you may want to rent it first.
What's great about it: Firefight, graphics are awesome, the campaign...
What's not so great: ...while it lasts, no firefight matchmaking
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is a huge disappointment. The graphics are average at best. The gameplay is boring. The levels repeat again and again reminding you of the old covenant ship levels in prior games. The storyline is a flop and completely uninteresting. This is nothing more than an overpriced expansion pack. Bungie has really lost it's way. The last 2 Halo games were not even close to what they could have been. It seems clear now that Bungie and the Halo franchise peaked long ago.
What's great about it: It's a new Halo expansion pack
What's not so great: Storyline, levels and graphics
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

great game

Most HALO fan will like this game. It is new and different and FPS fans that previously did not like HALO will like this better than previous installments. Playing as a human (non spartan) is what makes this game. There is a feeling of survival that you didn't get playing as the MC. The new weapons are sweet and firefight mode is hours of fun, alone or with friends. The story mode is fun and there's plenty of exploring to do, but the levels could be longer and larger. This game is a must buy for most FPS fans and a definite rent.
What's great about it: new characters and firefight
What's not so great: level size
I would recommend this to a friend!

dumb thought it was going to be fun but now it made me want to never play xbox but then i got modern warfare 2 and that was the greatest game ever
What's great about it: nothing basically didn't understand it
What's not so great: like everything. they copied firefight from gears of wars horde mode and didn't get campain and hard to see

ok if you are looking to buy a good game dont get this one. the campaign is kind of boring, firefight is good (if you have friends that want to play it with you) this game is just a tad better than halo wars wich is a terrible game. if you have xbox live on halo 3 you could hit matchmaking and play against other people but this game doesnt have that all it has is firefight and you cant play people you dont know you have to invite your friend or play splitscreen on your xbox.
dont get this game GET MODERN WARFARE 2 INSTEAD

What's not so great: no matchmaking

This game is pretty good. The maps are betther that the last game.
What's great about it: New maps are great.
What's not so great: Can't jump very well.

This is more like a DLC (add-on) than full game. I liked playing it...just not long enough to be called a "full game". I would have been happy just paying "half game" price.
What's great about it: storyplay is good...goes along with the other Halo's
What's not so great: Game is way too easy to beat...way too Short
