I didn't give purchasing this item very much thought. I just figured I needed a mount for my Garmin. I'm glad I purchased this item though. I just set it on my dash and it does not budge at all. It keeps my Garmin locked into place and doesn't slide around when I'm driving. Worth every penny.

This mount is very flexible to conform to the shape of the dash. The arm folds flat making it compact and easy to store or transport. This is my second mount Garmin friction because I was pleased with my first purchase and needed a second.

I choose this Garmin GPS mount because of its low profile. However, I found that the base may be too small. Its footprint is very narrow and would easily bounce around when I was taking a turn in my car. I had to return it for another Gamin mount with a larger base.
