I say that because here in el paso it gets hot. And the windshield gets even hotter. I had the one mounted on the windshield and they kept falling down. Or the rubber melts to the windshield making a mess of things.
It wont move unless you move it. bendable and with wings you can bend for different dash designs.

I bought this one only because it was on sale at Best Buy. This is ok, not very good. It does not stay in one place, bottom is sticky, something is there that holds the friction but over the time it catches dust and start moving.

Only good for flat dashboards

I just bought it and I am taking it right back. I'll give this a poor rating for several reasons:
I tried this on three of the many cars that I own (Merkur Scorpio, Audi A4, Ford Excursion) - these being the primary use cars. The mount didn't lay properly on any of the dashboards. I am concerned the sticky gel bottom will get dirty and slide around- especially during "spirited" driving. All three have different dash materials; plastic, soft vinyl and rubber-like vinyl. The slightest bit of dust will be a problem with this mount. If your dash is not spotless, don't waste your time.
I am going to get a long-reach suction mount.
What's great about it: flexible mount
What's not so great: lack of adjustability, sticky back
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this model for the large screen size and lifetime maps and traffic. Generally, it has worked well, though I have not accessed many of its special features, so I can't comment on them. I did not love having to pay extra for the connecting cable that enables the traffic, but twice already this month it has allowed me to avoid long delays on my way to specific appointments in the Jacksonville, FL area. I went ahead and bought the traffic enabled power cable, as I suspect that connecting to traffic via my smart phone would eat a hole in my data allotment.
It has also consistently told me to be in the left lane at one specific intersection at which I should first be in the right lane and only after exiting the freeway turn left, but the screen view is correct to guide me properly. I like it well enough to strongly consider buying a second one for our other vehicle, but I'm waiting for a sale price.

Too much of a dinosaur for mounting on auto dash. No rotation available for holder, have to turn entire mounting unit to get desired angle.
What's great about it: Nothing
What's not so great: Mounting attachment does not rotate in circular motion. Have to rotate entire holder to get optimum angle.
