Works perfectly on the flat spot on the top of the 2014 Subaru Outback dashboard. Sort-of-sticky bottom really works to keep it in place. Still easy to pluck off the dash and program another destination into the Garmin, and then set the whole unit right back in place. So much better than the windshield mount that comes with the Garmin.

What's great about it: Won't bounce around once it is in place, but still easy to move.
What's not so great: Sort of hard for these old hands to push ball joint together with the Garmin unit.

I bought this BPS holder since I used to stick it to the windshield and got saliva all over the window. YUCK! Then, if it got too hot or too cold, the entire GPS would come crashing down. Now is sits comfortably on the dash and is very easy to read. I love this thing!

What's not so great: Can move around a little on dashboard.

It works great but the base is too large for the area I have in my dash. If it was a little smaller it would fit perfect in the area.

the only reason i bought this is that they were out of the "bean bag" type dash mounts. this takes up too much room and does not hold its position well. I am throwing it away and buying the old "bean bag" mount as soon as i get the chance

Garmin GPS Mounts With Style

Much sleeker design than the bean bag mount. Though not as heavy, this mount stays PUT while driving and cornering and even under harder acceleration and braking. It conforms to any automobile dash design and can even mold onto some center consoles without the "bulky" look of the bags. When this thing sits on my black dashboard, it looks as if it were designed to be a part of the vehicle, and when not in use fits easily into the glove box or center console. It was the perfect accessory for my nuvi 255. I love it!
What's great about it: Sleek design, conforms to any dash.
What's not so great: Nothing noted.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This did not lay flat on my dash and therefore it wasn't able to grip and stay put. I returned it in favor of a beanbag type friction mount which is serving me very well.
What's great about it: It holds the nav unit very securely
What's not so great: It doesn't stay put on the dash
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
