When I hit the TV button, it goes on, but then I have to play around to get the cable box, the again to get volumn control. Often thes throws the TV into a different HDMI which means I have to pla agin to get the right HDMI. Sure it helps with digital screen help, but I was looking for a simplified controler, when I turn on the TV it goes on with the cable box and volumn control. Not worth the bucks! I also got 6-8 months off a pair of double A's. Now I get maybe a week off of a charge.

Don't waste your moeny... I'm an IT project manager and can't get this thing to work. The setup right out of the box is no problem. The problem is, and this could be connectivity with my new Panasonic Viera TV and Panasonic Viera Blu-ray Home Theater System, but it never executes the same transactions in the same sequence every time. For example, when all units were off, and I chose to Watch TV, it would start up in iPod mode, or DVD and that regardless of which function was set befroe turning it off... And the thing is, it would not always fail in the same manner. Once to DVD when I wanted TV, the next time, to iPod when I wanted TV. I spent 6-7 hours trying to program this thing, including troubleshooting and online support.
Again, my recommendation especialy if you have Panasonic Viera devices, DON'T BUY IT.
What's great about it: Pretty easy to set up.....
What's not so great: Can't get sequence of steps right...

This is my second logitech remote and I paid $30 to upgrade. The new one is just as bad as the less expensive one. Rarely turns on or off correctly. Will randomly change from tv mode to activity mode and then you cannot adjust volume or change channels. Then you must turn the tv off and start all over again. I highly recommend you purchase a different remote.

Too expensive and the battery has to be charged twice a week and you use the old remote for the 8 hours it takes to charge the batteries. Doesnt perform only half of the TV functions
What's great about it: nothing
What's not so great: it controls only half of my tv's functions

This is a nice 6 device remote. But I'm writing mainly to point out that Best Buy's description is wrong. This remote does not have a touch screen. It has a color display with buttons beside the LCD to perform the functions on the screen. This works perfectly well, but is by no means a "touch" screen.
Only the One, 900 and 1100 have touch screens. And of those, only the One has sequence capability. Logitech removed sequences from the 900 and 1100.
Durability is unknown on this new, but most harmony's buttons wear out prematurely in my experience.
Value would be higher if it could handle more than 6 devices like it's predecessors could.
What's great about it: Great ergonomics and colored buttons
