I have had 2 Logitech Harmony remotes for several years now. I actually wore out the buttons on the one in the living room. I bought this one to replace it. The buttons appear cleaner looking, and this one comes with rechargeable batteries. I have it set up to seamlessly operate 6 different devices. I will never go back to my device specific remotes, and there are no other universal remotes in my mind. Anything other than a Logitech Harmony is an imposter!

I would give this remote 3.5 stars if I could. The best thing about this remote is the My Harmony software which is a tremendous improvement over the older Logitech software which was arcane and very difficult to use. The My Harmony software makes set-up and modifying settings on the remote a breeze to accomplish. With the older software it could take you hours to configure your remote and get the settings right.
There are 2 cons for this remote , one major the other minor. With my older Logitech 550 remote you could configure up to 16 devices with the 700 you are limited to 8 devices. If you have a limited number of devices this wouldn't affect you. However, if you want to use the remote with more than one television and/or have a number of devices that you want to control you are out of luck. This is an artificial limit that Logitech sets in order to steer you to there more expensive remotes. In order to be able to control as many devices as my old Harmony 550 you have to spend over $200 for a model that's comparable. The other flaw of the remote, much more minor, is the location of the number buttons on the bottom of the remote.
In conclusion this would be a 5 star product if Logitech removed the artificial limit on the number of devices that can be used with the remote.

Simple remote to use. Easy to set up with desktop software.Everything is able to be customized to your liking if you take the time to set it up.
Not sure why people are complaining about the battery problems with this model. I bought it at a amazing discounted price before Xmas. Set it up and charged it over night, and as of today Jan 16th, i have yet to charge it again. I use it like a fiend in the weekends and nights too.
My only gripe is occasionally it someone uses is it incorrectly it will get out of sync and the "Activity" button will only turn on one or two of the devices, and one of them off. Have to manually select each item and turn them off, then hit "Activity" again. The remote doesnt know when devices are on or off. Also, when you re-programme it. Make sure all devices are OFF. Or it will then be out of sync again.

Originally, they could not get their stereo receiver to connect, but tv was great. They have since figured out everything. Usually everything goes well, but some occasional glitches! Evidently, it's fine as remotes go, or, so I've been told, but not a whole lot of enthusiam! Would I recommend to a friend...no...only b/c everyone needs to decide upon their own needs, $$ spent, etc.
