It doesn't quite seem to have the range/reach some of the original remotes have. Also, I encountered some problems with my specific configuration that it doesn't handle well. Working through them. Love the 1-button automation options!

I use Logitech remotes exclusively. This one was on sale for 49.99 so I gave it a go. I'm having a few small issue with it not turning items off all the time. But honestly, it's a good remote. The $200 Logitech it replaced had issues every now and then.

Not as good as a Harmony 880 in some ways, but better in others. I don't like that there's no charging station, and that some of the buttons at the top have "fixed" functions. You can change them, but you have to remember what each one means, then. But the actual buttons work better than the 880. I've gone through about 3 880s because the buttons wear out. Also, this remote can take regular re-chargeable AA batteries, the 880 was a proprietary block shaped battery, so that's much nicer with this one. If the screen were a little bigger and you could assign named tasks to each side (so maybe 6 choices on a single screen), this remote would definitely get 5 stars. Since you can only assign start-up tasks to each row, that limits it to two per screen. Setup is pretty easy if you've ever done a Harmony setup before, it can take a little time to get things right the first time, though.

Upgraded from Harmony 659 - Nicer interface with ability to switch between device and activity screens with one button. Color screen comes on when tilted up. Also like that it is re-chargeable.

I have a Harmony 650 and bought a 700 to try out the rechargeable remote. I love it! I have not had issues with it ever not being charged when I need it. The harmony software loaded my 650 settings with the push of a button!

First, the remote is awkward to set up, especially for the "Activities" functions. We've pretty much abandoned the Activities after spending way too much time messing with the setup and still not working as expected.
Second, we have a Entone receiver for TV channels. Remote provides a triple-tap for each number (e.g., press 15 = 111555). We're stuck using multiple remotes. Checked the Logitech Help sites with little luck. Posted a question and a Logitech rep responded with a solution which did not work. Then the rep offered to access our online account to set all the parameters. This was a couple of weeks ago with no response or solution provided by the Logitech rep. Hoping for a response and solution, but not taking any bets.
