i highly recommend these to anybody its alot cheaper than bose $900 bucks ouch these only cost $149.99 much better on my pocket!! i have three klipsch 2.1 promedia sets in my house!! and thses are very small and light weight easy to pack up and with yu to camping,vacations,birthdays,weddings,anniversarys etc.
What's great about it: the sound,detail,about to point out things
What's not so great: none
I would recommend this to a friend!

Amongst much debate and after looking for these speakers I decided to buy a 2.1 setup instead of the 5.1 promedia. I can tell you that these speakers are simply awesome. The range and clarity are next to none in this price range. I listen to many different types of music, but perhaps the hardest for headphones and non-quality speakers to reproduce is Zoe Keating "Legions War" (try on I tunes, it is a solo cello act that uses only the instrument for the full range of the sound dynamic. This speaker setup plays it beautifully. I use my setup in a small home office so the sub sounds much larger than it is. I wouldn't recommend this setup to fill a huge room as it wasn't designed for that but seeing as how it has performed so far I wouldn't be surprised if it exceeded my expectations. The unit has a marking on the sub level for what it calls "optimum bass levels" which I usually keep it at unless it is late at night and I don't want to disturb my roommates. The bass is definitely substantial enough for hip hop/ rap if that is your preference. Overall this is an excellent setup and well worth the money.
What's great about it: Sounds great, looks good and delivers that typical klipsch sound
What's not so great: Doesn't turn off unless you use the switch on sub
I would recommend this to a friend!

Trebble and medium are clear, bass are deep, I discover instruments that I never heard before in my favorite music, I can have a dance party in a 2000 sqf room.
What else could I whish?
What's great about it: incredible sound for the price, powerful, well built
What's not so great: too early to say how long it's going to last

So good I bought them again!

I originally bought these speakers 5 years ago and have thoroughly enjoyed the sound at my desktop. A few months ago the subwoofer stopped working. It was not a blown fuse or something simple to fix. Being out of warranty, it was cheaper to buy a new system than to try and get it repaired. After looking at other options on the market, I came back to these again. There was nothing that they were lacking that I wish I could have done differently. The overall tone and balance of these is exceptional. I listen to hard rock, acoustic, blues an pop. They do NOT sound like weak, tinny PC speakers. These will turn your PC into a full-blown stereo system that easily fills my 12x12 office with sound. Powerful, balanced, great looking and great sound. I would absolutely recommend these after using them for years.
What's great about it: Outstanding balanced sound. Easy, reliable controls, more bass than you can even use.
What's not so great: average price if not on sale. light-duty wiring
I would recommend this to a friend!

You have no reason not to buy this, it is worth every single cent you spend on it. The sound quality is amazing, the subwoofer is powerful. This little system can rock your house easily. If your thinking Bose, save yourself some money and get this system instead. The speakers and subwoofer may be a little larger, but its worth the extra space. Movies, games, music there is nothing that doesn't sound good on these speakers, even Windows Vista starting up!!
What's great about it: Bass, sound quality, price, etc
What's not so great: Not one thing
I would recommend this to a friend!

I've had klipsch on my upstairs office.gaming computer for years. About 4 years in something burned out in them and they don't make the replacement anymore, I believe it was the "surround" control. They still crank however.
When my son needed speakers for his college dorm to go with his new TV, watching movies, playing xbox, I steered him towards these. They rock his dorm. Lets hope they dont break like mine did.

I picked up these Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 Speakers on sale to use with my laptop. I needed more sound then the built in laptop speakers were providing. These baby's did the trick. The bass sound kicks butt! This speaker system gives off far better sound than other comparable 2.1 speaker systems. The only drawback I have found so far is the on/off switch. It is located in back of the sub which makes it alittle difficult to get to. Otherwise, I would recommend this system to any avid music listener.
What's great about it: Great sound for the price.
What's not so great: The on/off switch set in back.
I would recommend this to a friend!
