My 10 year old Advent speakers finally bit the dust and I was in the market for some new computer speakers. I had read several reviews of the Klipshe and they were overall positive but there were some concerns.
1. Durability
2. Popping in the highs and mids
3. Bass Distortion and boominess
I can't speak to the first yet. I just bought them. For the second, I find the highs and mid really clear and crisp without popping or clicking. As for the third, i've found it's all about placement. If the subwoofer is placed near a wall and next to or inside of a desk, it's a bit boomy with some low level distortion. Pull it off the wall about 1.5-2 feet and move it around the room (away from the side of the desk) to the extent you can and you'll probably find a sweet spot that has a good balance between kick and resonance. All rooms are different of course but placement seems to be the key. Overall for the price, they are a great set of clear sounding really really loud speakers that can play a wide array of music and sound as close to actual loudspeakers run through an amp as you can get for computer speakers. Highly recommended.
What's great about it: Great Sound at a great price
What's not so great: Nothing so far.

I have purchased 4 of these for various members of my family for their pc's both laptops and desktops. These things crank out the bass and have very nice mids and highs as well. My kids use these with their pc's in place of a compact stereo set. Recently a household pet chewed through the coaxial cable and I thought that unit was toast...surprise Klipsch sells a replacement set with a fresh set of controls for $25.00! And did I mention they crank out the bass?
What's great about it: Accurate sound reproduction for and inexpensive system and powerful bass.
What's not so great: Bass enclosure isn't small but so what.

Awesome Speaker ever owned

This is my first detailed review for any product which I purchased online.
I was waiting to get a desktop speaker for a long time, and since I'm a music freak ,it was my dream to own the best speakers for music and for movies as well. I was researching for a long time comparing various models, and going through lots of online reviews and got a huge confusion. I also owned a Cyber Acoustics 2.1 speakers but returned it within a week due to subwoofer issues. Then I don't want to take another risk to buy a defective product again since I hate returning products. And there came the savior in the form of Klipsch promedia 2.1. The sound clarity is just awesome in this speakers. I really enjoy listening to music with this. Hope this will be there with me for a pretty long time. Thanks Klipsch.

For anyone looking to compare the "Logitech Z623 THX 2.1" system with this Klipsche 2.1 Pro Media...Klipsche is FAR better!! Long story short, I first purchased the Klipsche, then returned it because I needed the money for something else. Then When I had the money again, I got the Logitech Z623 just to see how it compared. I took it back that same night and exchanged it for the Klipsche. :) The sound quality is SO much better balanced with the Klipshe, and you really notice the power range..being that I don't think I'll ever need to turn it up even 1/2 way! I'm very much into music...Every audio component in my vehicle is custom. This Klipsche 2.1 is a great set up. Crisp highs, fluid mids, and PLENTY of base control!! Outstanding:)
What's great about it: Power, perfect fluid balance of highs/mids/bass
What's not so great: No power off button:(

To keep it simple, the ProMedia speakers exceeded my expectation. For $150, you can't go wrong.
There's really not a lot to say other than just buy em'! You will not regret the purchase. They are, hands down, the best computer speakers I've ever heard.
What's great about it: Everything.

I bought a pair of these about 8 years ago and LOVED them. A few years back I started doing some digital music recording and decided I would spring for a fancy set of HD speakers and gave the Klipsch to my wife (she LOVES them). The Razer Mako 2.1 replaced the Klipsch. They sounded insainly good, but after only two years, they went bad! Yea, a $300+ set of speakers crapped out after just two years. I had an extended warrenty which BB would NOT honor since they were not made anymore (because of the problems) and Razer would do NOTHING to help except verify they were dead and that they were not made anymore and could not be repaired.
I saw these Klipsch Promedia 2.1s on super buy for $95 and figured, why not. Now I love these all over again. I have a VERY high end sound card in my PC and thse speakers sound very good, not as good as the Makos (double the price) but VERY good. Games, music, movies (HD too) and my HD recordings sound amazing. I have not experienced any issues some others claim with their high end systems. A couple minutes of tweeking the settings and I was good to go.
The average gamer and media consumer will be blown away, and at this price point, audiophiles and media producers will be happy too!
The only "down side" is the look. Despite the sound, they are fairly plain looking and have not changed in design (except the connector) since my last pair from 8+ years ago (still in service).
What's great about it: Amazing sound, depth, and detail.
What's not so great: Could be more pleasing to the eye.

If you want amazing sound, the best bang for your buck, and a reliable reputable company, stop comparing and buy these if your in the market for speakers for your computer. From the second you turn them on, to the moment you crank them up, you'll be very surprised at the sound that comes from these speakers. I have them hooked up to a 2012 iMac and they far exceeded my expectations. Nice highs, and the subwoofer is is tuned perfectly,
What's great about it: Everything
What's not so great: Can't thing of anything...

I have used this system for a solid 30-days. I have watched movies, played games, and listened to music. I have to say these speakers blow me away. The highs are perfect and the lows are so deep. I have them plugged into a Sound Blaster X-Fi Go! and I can fine tune with a graphic equalizer.
Pros: Amazing sound even at lower volumes. I am afraid to turn it past 1/2, they will blow me out of my chair!!!
Cons: Wires, but I could of went with the wireless version. No on/off switch. I feel they should come with some type of sound adjustment software for the best performance.
What's great about it: Sound range and amazing lows at low volume
What's not so great: No on/off switch
I would recommend this to a friend!
