The best game and multimedia speakers ever made!

I've been using Klipsch ProMedia speakers for well over a decade now. I've had them all.

They've changed the cables and connections every now and again, added and dropped a 4.1 and 5.1 surround system option, and fiddled with some amp settings once every few years.

I've had every iteration of this product, and they have all been just as good as the first, even with the occasional wiring changes.

Now, you'll see plenty of other popular gaming speakers on the market, if that's what you're looking for. Some will even have received rave reviews from publications and websites you know and trust. Shockingly, you might not find these speakers on those sites... Why?

Well, I suppose people finally ran out of words to describe these things. That, and Klipsch isn't pandering to the media.

These were receiving those same rave reviews in 1999 when they were first released!

Sixteen years ago, before many of the people reading this were even born, when average computer owners still kept a DOS partition on their hard drive, these speakers were cleaning house in magazines the world over.

They've lasted longer than many of those magazines... Indeed, I still have my first set, and they still work fine. I use them in another room for house audio now.

They're just as good for movies and music. Indeed, many of the bands you enjoy today mastered their first self-produced albums on Klipsch ProMedia speakers, and these are what you'll still find on their desks.

In all cases, the speakers have always been the best on the market. I don't mean I just liked the things, either... I mean they were the BEST from a quantitative standpoint. Nobody has yet touched their territory, and only Corsair has come anywhere near it.

I'll list the single "con" now. It sounds like something that might be a bother, but it isn't. I assure you, you'll just ignore it when it happens.

For all the changes Klipsch has made over the years, they've kept the same volume control. It gets finicky over time around the 1/4 mark. Klipsch is more than happy to send you another when that happens, though, and I've always just adjusted my PC volume so I'm not using that first quarter.

Trust me, the speakers are worth that little issue.

Games, movies, music; everything will be powerful and clear. You don't need to spend hours with an equalizer to level them, as the speakers are very flat right out of the box. They've been manufacturing these things for so long that the drivers (the actual cones and tweeters) are essentially perfect.

I've seen them used as reference monitors in studios, and in home theater systems. I've personally used them for their primary purpose, as I've stated, for over a decade.

They aren't the most modern-looking speakers on the market, and they don't carry a fancy advertising campaign to go with them. What they bring to the table is sound.

Isn't that what you're after? Sound?

These may not be the most well-known speakers on the market, either, but at this price, there's no excuse to buy anything else. Unless you are going to hook up a stack of amps and tower speakers to your computer, this is the BEST YOU CAN GET.

Blew My Mind.

These speakers are outrageously good. This is my first Klipsch product and they have a loyal customer after this. I own some Sonos speakers so the sound quality I'm used to is very high. These speakers are right up there. Clean highs mids and lows. Everything is on point. Oh and by the way these get loud. You'll shake things off the walls if you're not careful. For the price you pay you are getting an A+ premium product. Thanks to Klipsch for making an affordable and rocking product.

cheap knockoff of original KLIPSCH pro media 2.1

I bought the same set a few years back. One of the tweeters went bad but I liked the sound so much I thought I would get the same set again and have spare parts if I needed them. Should have done my homework. The name was the same but the system went from 260 watts to 200 watts. There is no off switch any more, the woofer is a great deal lighter and the sound is no where near as good. Buyer beware. i have a pair of klipsch Heresy speakers that are 40 years old and still sound as good as when I bought them. Too bad there quality has gone down hill.

Quality Speakers for Sound Enthusiasts

Pros: Adjustable subwoofer volume, power, strength, and quality. In my apartment I have yet to turn the volume up more than 60% and super loud with a crisp and clean sound.
