[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We use it as a refrigerator and we love the space! We live rural and have two chest freezers. I have never found much use for the freezers that are incorporated into a refrigerator. This was our answer to that! Love it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] manual very difficult to understand .to set temperature for freezer was very hard it took several tries .you need to keep your manuals model specific keeping only to what your specific model has.

AWESOME FRIG!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have only had it for a month. We use ours as a refrigerator and LOVE it!!! It has space for everything and enough light to see everywhere inside. So glad we got it. The only down side is that it is built to be a freezer first, and is harder to open.

Door Problems

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this refrigerator/freezer a couple weeks ago. Door was VERY difficult to open. We first presumed that loading it (additional weight) would solve the problem. Didn’t. Second wrong presumption was that it simply needed to be broken in. Wrong. No less difficult after weeks of use. To get the door open, you must place a couple fingers at the top of the door near the seal, then pull the door handle with all your might. After a couple strong tugs, it will open, shaking everything on the top shelf. No instructions anywhere on how to adjust door seal.

I am disappointed to learn about the hiccups you have encountered with your freezer.
Did you know? When the door is closed it creates a vacuum seal, making the door harder to open for a couple of minutes. Try waiting about 2 minutes before opening the door again, to allow the internal pressure to equalize. With usage, the vacuum seal will decrease. Please keep in mind, the less amount of items inside your freezer will make the door harder to open due to more air inside your freezer.

Great for buying in bulk

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this in order to buy healthy seafood and meats in bulk. We use a food savr to vacuum pack and keep the temp set at -12. So far we're quite happy, though I did have to order a couple of extra bins.
I find the upright design much more accessible than a chest freezer and it has auto defrost. The improved visibility has reduced the number of times something gets buried then forgotten in the freezer.
Several folks complained about the door being hard to open. It is but steady pressure for a couple of seconds works. If you've just closed it, don't try to open it again for a couple minutes.
Overall we are quite satisfied.
