Maybe it's because I used generic recipes for my smoothies, but all three I've made have been room temperature when they were finished. Not cold at all and it took twice as long as the little smoothie machine I paid 19.99 for. And it makes cold smoothies every time.

I have had this product for about a month. Here is my short honest opinion about it, but before I get to it, I must tell you I like the NB RX. I think it is a very good attempt at creating an optimal health product, but even thought the thing spins at about 10,000 miles an hour, and it sounds like it too, it will not make the drink super thin. Of course this also depends on what and how much you put in there. But it will usually be thick. Try to put different things in on different days. In other words, mix up your recipe or you'll feel like your drinking the same thing every day. My wife does, I get green Shrek juice every morning. If you put ice into your mix thinking it will come out nice and cool, guess again. The friction only after 1 minute will warm your cubes. I tried the heat function, it worked pretty good. I was so excited to try it that I put radishes in with potatoes and chicken stock. What was I thinking?!! Tasted like horse feet. No, never tried.... Anyway, as I said, it seems to do a good job. Maybe I will give it a better review after I get some new recipes. Oh, and yes, it does sound like a 747 taking off!

I received mine in late December and have used it everyday. I really like making soup it in especially on cold days. I found the receipe book I received to be an aquired taste though, some are not to my liking, but I just substitute for items I know I won't like the taste or texture of. I make breakfast smoothies every work day and have found a variety of delicious ones and I try to change them up frequently to use different veggies and fruits. I think the fruit are much more palatable than the veggie ones. I'm without it now for the 4th day and will be for about 7-10 business days as my blade developed a leak in the bottom and they told me to throw the blade away and not use it so as to not ruin the machines internal integrity. So I've been using my blender (yuk, doesn't compare, won't chop anything, just whirls it around and forget about chopping up ice). So, I'm looking forward to getting my replacement blade so I can get back to business. Really... make some soup, you'll be glad you experimented with it.
