Problem with gasket

I loved it for three weeks, then in the middle of blending a breakfast smoothie, the gasket started getting blended up in the drink. The smoothie drained through the bottom into the bottom of the blender and was a real mess. I am taking it back to Bed Bath and Beyond today.

I loved using magic bullet so my husband and I registered for the more powerful Nutribullet for our wedding. It makes great smoothies but the small parts of the base are very difficult to clean and have attracted bugs where even the tiniest food particles fall into the base. I was grossed out. After seeing maggots in the interior equipment despite multiple cleanings I am too disgusted to use this product. So disappointed. :-(

I like how it works, BUT it is so loud it scares my dog. Other issue is how difficult it is putting it togther and then taking it apart (harder). Who thought only young people want to be healthy?

I read some great reviews and decided to make this purchase. As mentioned in some reviews, the gasket kept popping off from around the blade within a week. It was easy to pop back on. But then 2 weeks after purchasing and using daily for smoothies with frozen fruit, the machine infused a burned motor taste into the smoothies. There was no indication of a problem prior to this such as strange sounds or smells. Needless to say, I immediately returned the Nutribullet Rx and bought a Nutribullet ninja IQ.
