I have enjoyed it so far except when I wanted to do some pure carrot juice and I found that I was not able to get it really smooth-- was coarse and not good on the throat.

I've used this blender alot last 2 months. I feel great as a result from getting more nourishment than just my normal diet by having kale, carrots, apple, pear, mint...and other fruits and vegetables.
I was trying to use a 200w ninja maybe 250w. It didn't even compare, it could not do anything with seeds I add for fiber and nourishment. This thing gets them all.
I've yet to try the soup blaster function but look forward to making cream of tomato this winter when it's cold out.

I am especially enjoying the hot soups, but I wish you had an ingredient index so one could shop more efficiently for needed items, trying out a couple of new things at a time.
