Takes some getting use to...

I've had my Rx for about 3 weeks now and I use it 5 days a week for morning smoothies. Out of the box, I loved the design and capacity. I did an initial cleaning and prepped it for our morning smoothie the night before. The next morning I gave it a whirl. It was pretty loud and the wife came downstairs thinking I was running the vacuum early in the morning. Not complaining, high wattage motor tend to be louder. I was awed at the smoothie consistency. It totally liquified the flax seeds. Something my retired Ninja could never do. I read that it can make smoothies warm so, after blending, I popped the 2 smoothies in the freezer until we were ready to leave for work. While driving, I took the first sip and noticed a strong ozone smell. I thought the smell would go away after more use but, it hasn't. I've gotten use to it by now and I've adapted to using different ingredients in my smoothies that mask the ozone smell and the colder it is, the less noticeable.
If there is a trick that I'm missing by all means let me know! Still a great product!

I love the NutriBullet Rx!!! It is a great addition to my kitchen and healthy lifestyle. I love making soup too. The recipe book and the APP give me lots of variety.

More than just for smoothies

I received this as a Christmas gift, as the family had an interest in improving the quality of smoothies. However, I use it routinely in cooking, particularly when making marinades and brines. Both typically require the addition of chopped herbs. With the RX, I am able to create an unspeakably smooth and consistent puree that I add to brines and marinades, resulting in a far superior "pick up" of the flavors by the roast, poultry, e.g. turkey, etc. Making red sauces that require a puree of reconstituted chiles is no longer a game of chance (or bogging down of the blender during the process. The capacity is huge and the included storage containers make capturing the leftovers a snap. A vital addition to my kitchen!

I bought this about 2 months ago to help my husband with acid reflux and barrets esophagus. I like the fact that all the vegetable fiber is not lost and ground up so that you never taste any roughage. My daughter liked mine so much she just bought her own. I hope it lasts along time then it would have definitely been worth it.
