Older and blander version of Harry

I have had a few chances to review this album and I must say that I am a little disappointed. Generally, HC JR. albums are inventive, original (even if it is a cover) and entertaining...however, with this album, there are only three songs that even remind me of the old Harry.
The first track, "All The Way" is reminiscent of his "We Are In Love" album and has heavy brass licks...definitely 'old school' Harry. I also enjoyed "The Way You Look Tonight" and "Some Enchanted Evening"...however, the remainder of the songs are bland and lack the attention that he normally gives his music. They just sound like covers and boring ones, at that. He spent some time on the first three that I mentioned, and his band really gave them some flair, but the rest of the tracks lack emotion, energy and enthusiasm. It seems as if Harry just wanted to get the album out there and not spend a lot of time on a quality product.
This is unusual for such an accomplished artist. I really think he missed the bar on this album. But, as for singles...tracks 1, 7 and 10 DO hit the mark!
What's great about it: Tracks 1, 7 and 10
What's not so great: All of the other tracks
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is a must have for any Harry Connick Jr fan, if your not (and thats just a shame!!) if you have a love for Big Band and Smooth jazz music run out and buy this CD.
Its great soothing sounds are great for giving you a little pep in your step while doing housework. Thats how I spent my morning.
A few songs All The Way
Some Enchanted Evening
and my fav Closer To You
Every JAZZ lover should go out and grab it up!!!!
I give it two thumbs WAY UP!!! =D
What's great about it: best price I found!!!!
What's not so great: nothing!!!!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Harry Connick Jr. does it again! It's wonderful having all the classic love songs in one place and in that magical voice!
Such a wide selection of artists songs and are all sang wonderfully! The whole cd met my expectations!!!
What's great about it: Love hearing all my favorite love songs by the same artist!
I would recommend this to a friend!

I'm so excited to have this CD. I received it less then 24 hours ago and I'm listeneing to it for the third time. His singing reminds me a bit of Michael Buble ( who I LOVE) . I'm in love with this CD!
What's great about it: I love that he took old songs and put his own spin on them.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Relax your Mind

As a member of One2One Network I had the opportunity to review this cd. While I love Harry's originals, "Your Songs" also has a nice sexy feel to it. The songs are all ones that I know and can sing along to if I want. I absolutely love the way he makes each and everyone of them his own! You can almost forget that they AREN'T his originals! I've got to say the best part of the CD is hearing how Harry has interpreted each song individually. His arrangements suite the songs so well and each one has it's own unique feel. My personal favorites are * "Close to you" - I love how he has made this so upbeat and you can hear the smile in his voice. * "Besame Mucho" - Ooh La La! This one just makes me melt, I love the sultriness of Harry's voice! Serenade please! * "Your Song" - I like the tempo and the way his voice sounds pouty and it's just a great song! This CD makes me wish I knew how to dance! Where are my white gloves and heels?
What's great about it: Wonderful selection of songs from a variety of artists sung in a new way
I would recommend this to a friend!

It is such a joy to listen to. It makes you excited about the songs and it is one of the signs of good music.

This CD is made for date night! Harry Connick Jr covers some of the most romantic songs of this past generation. Smooth and mellow with a great mix of covers.

I have had the opportunity to review this CD as part of the One2One Network. I enjoyed listening to this album and its smooth sound. I have been a fan of Harry Connick Jr. for years and this album does not disappoint! My fav songs are "The Way You Look Tonight", and "Smile". If you enjoy this type of music you will want to check this album out!
What's great about it: Easy to listen to
