There's a problem with the freezer shelf design

There are some good features, but the top shelf won't allow the freezer door to close. So, either I'm an idiot or it's a bad design. The "instructions" are really poor and are not helpful at all.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We have only had this refrigerator for about a week. So far it is an excellent replacement for the the GE that was almost 19 years old. Everything is cold and we especially like the digital temperature controls and easily replaceable water filter -- and it looks great!

Great cleaning surface

Bought fridge on 2/28/15. Love the storage space and easy to clean slate surface. Not too happy about door seal which is wavy and does not provide a continuous sealed surface and the ice dispenser door which flaps when you close the refrigerator door every time! Annoying!

LOVE THE SLATE !!!!

Our new home came with the GE appliance package but we decided to upgrade to the SLATE and it is awesome, we love it and it works perfect, love all the door features and the ice does not fly out all over the floor ! It is PERFECT in every way. When people see it they love the color Slate - no fingerprints--

Nice Refrigerator

This seems to have more interior space than our previous refrigerator, even though the size was similar. I like the pull out shelves and being able to see and adjust the actual temperature on the front of the door instead of a rotary dials with numbers on them located inside.

We bought this for our cottage. We found out we could not use it in the winter unless we left the heat up while we were not there. So we unplug it in the winter because it casts to much to leave the heat up.

The color of the GE is awesome - check out the value of the GE Slate products. You get the Stainless Steal accents without all the fingerprints!
