Yay a refrigerator

Yay for the refrigerator but it has a cold spot in the back of the fridge side that freezes items. The cude ice mode sometimes does crushed ice. But besides that a great and great looking appliance. I hope it last 16 years like our previous GE fridge.

too noisy. ice maker is hard to get ice going into the glass. Often sprays onto floor. Would not buy again

Bought over the weekend. Looks very nice in our kitchen, unit is very functional. Too early to tell as far as dependability and how we will like it in the long run; thus only 4 stars.

We built a new home and went with GE Slate appliances, very happy with them so far. Love the appearance, easy to clean. Excellent quality

Needs A Better Owners Booklet

We just too delivery of this unit and are very pleased with it. Interior is well laid out, ice maker is well placed and doesn't eat up a lot of space like some other manufacturers. My only complaint is that the owners manual could be a bit more explicit about initial run time and what to expect. Over the first 3 days it seemed to be running constantly and it became a concern to me after hearing the salesman say "they only last 5 to 10 years now". Checking with GE Answers I learned that it will run on an 80 -90% cycle until you fill it with food (really fill it, not just a bottle of mustard ) and the ice bin is full of ice which takes a few days. Once that happens it will be more stable internal temp wise and will cycle on and off on a more familiar basis.
I would recommend this to a friend!
