This refrigerator has lots of space! The different areas for fresh produce and cold cuts are great. The freezer holds more than I thought it would too. Very happy with this product.

I really like the color and features. The drawers could stand to be a little sturdier, t times they don't want to slide very good.

The refrigerator looks good and works just fine. My only complaint is that its normal humming sound is louder than that of other refrigerators we've had. Even after a few months, the sound is still somewhat distracting.

Lots of space

I noticed on our new GE fridge that there is more space in the door. I'm able to get way more condiments in the door section then my old GE fridge. Also the dome lightning helps with more room on the shelves. We really are pleased with this model!!

This refrigerator looks nice but too much space is wasted on an oversized icemaker, a huge light in the refrigerator side that takes too much space, the top shelf should be up higher because a lot of space is wasted unless one stacks several items on each other. I could not get all of my frozen items that were in my former GE refrigerator into the new model nor on the refrigerator side. The refrigerator is advertised as 36" but it barely fits in 36 1/2" space. We had to cut the countertop off 1/2 inch to get it into the space the previous refrigerator fit nicely into. The tiny shelves on the freezer door will not accommodate ice cream containers that the previous model did. I don't think any of the drawers (meat and produce) are as large as my previous model. If you expect adequate space, shop around.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I am generally skeptical of the quality of appliances produced today. Many recent appliance purchases have disappointed me in just a few short years. I researched a new refrigerator when my last one finally gave up after 9 years and the GE brand rose to the top for many reasons. The reviews mostly seemed very positive and the negative ones were based on aesthetics not reliability or function. The model we chose was very attractive, functional, much quieter than the last one, the ice maker produced lots of ice very quickly (contrary to some reviews. Don't forget to bleed the air out of the water lines!), and has well thought out interior lighting. The unit cooled very quickly and holds temperature nicely. I was also excited to learn that this refrigerator was made in Louisville, Kentucky, USA and not overseas. The unit has only been installed a short time but I am hopeful it will perform to my expectations. I ask anyone who reads this review to do your homework when appliance shopping but to please consider the GE brand and support an American company employing Americans. I am hopeful that more companies do this and offer quality products like GE has. I gave this refrigerator 5 stars based on my experience so far, on appearance and function. Performance, quality and value get 4 stars since I'm just not sure yet. I will be back to review this later and hope it will receive 5 across the board.
