I bought this because I had another GE with the same features but a smaller size. Unfortunately, the larger one does not have a good seal on the freezer and you can hear the motor working to keep the temp steady at 0 degrees. One night, the temperature mysteriously increased on both sides with no reason only to return to normal the next day. The repairman could not find anything wrong.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this refrigerator/freezer this past summer and I am pleased with my purchase. It has plenty of room on both sides and in the doors themselves. I especially appreciate the in-door ice dispenser and the door open indicator light.
