I LOVE IT. THE DOOR SHELVES ARE BIG, THE SHELVES ARE GREAT, THE FREEZER SHELVES HAVE PLENTY OF ROOM. I HAD A SIDE-BY-SIDE BEFORE OF A DIFFERENT BRAND, ONLY SWITCHED BECAUSE THIS ONE IS ENERGY EFFICIENT AND I LOVE THIS ONE SO MUCH MORE.

I have only had the unit installed for a day, but so far it is everything I expected. Unit appears to be built well and is not loud as some other reviews have stated. I love the convenience of the external controls that show the current interior temperature at a glance. The water filters are expensive so I am interested to see how often it has to be replaced. I already have an inline filter for the water to the kitchen so I expect they should last a long time.

Great side by side for the money

Has features like lite around water dispenser and a water filters water gives a warning if door is open to long . Mother is quite while runing and best of all it is American made

Mmm Slate.

This is beautiful product, the slate is really nice and stays clean from fingerprints. The water and ice are simple and functional. I gave 4 stars cause I don't care for how the top door shelf hangs on the door, one already fell off and broke. You have to pay attention to which notch you mount it on, otherwise your shelf is doomed.

Good room inside, well laid-out. I refill water bottles from the water in the door. It's a bit hard to hit the opening of the bottle. Almost impossible to get ice out of the ice maker-bin for the inside. If you want to add ice to a glass with liquid inside by getting a few cubes by opening the door and accessing it from the inside. Shelfs need more adjustment for my needs! Keeps food cold well and I love the 'Door Open" alarm.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We love the function of the water and ice in the door. We had previously had an LG french door fridge and the ice constantly froze up. The GE side by side fridge has worked like a charm since we got it 2 months ago. We love the spacious interior of the fridge and that the shelves pull out. The slate color adds such a high end look to our kitchen. The freezer has pull out shelves as well, just wish that it was a bit more roomy. I would absolutely by this brand again!
