Although I'm not a big fan of side by side, because it can be difficult to fit large items. So far I have not had too many problems with this issue but we are only two people. If I had a family it would be a problem. Love the movable shelving. Love water and I've on door. My husband uses ice like crazy and would always be putting his hand in the ice bin or complaining about the smell of the ice. Not anymore!!!

Sleek, spacious, and lots of ice!

Great size for my family of 6. In our family everybody has room for their favorites in the freezer and fridge.
Also, we use a lot of ice. Whether for cooling down drinks for sports, camping, or gatherings at home, we have plenty of ice as this fridge holds 10lbs in the ice bin.
Really fits our needs and looks great as well!

I had a GE that I bought in 1994 and did not have an major trouble with it and it is still running. I am using it in the garage.

Good but previous designs more practical

Love the slate color, the icemaker on the door is fine and shows the temp if you want that. I like everything about this refrigerator except the impracticality of some of the shelving in the doors. You install them yourself, which is an invitation to have them fall out if you don't seat them correctly (it happened and the front plastic clear panel shattered) but our previous GE fridge had wire pull-out baskets in the freezer door that were very handy and practical and I would like to see them return. We pulled them out of out old unit before it left and I'm glad we did - all but one installed in the new one - the design of the icemaker didn't allow for 3, just 2. I have no idea why this change was made but it's not for the better. In the freezer, the new shelves actually hold less than previous models. Other than that, this model is quiet and the lighting is better in the freezer and the fridge (LED).
