Ice maker is slow, when getting crushed ice, it will make a horrible vibrating sound, sound is coming from the door to the ice chute. Vibrates like the door is trying to shut over and over very rapidly.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this slate GE side by side and we love it. It's our first new fridge and we can't believe how much space we have. The lighting is amazing and not to mention the ice maker making 10lbs of ice. We could not have chosen a better appliance or brand we are extremely happy with our purchase.

I bought this refrigerator about 2 weeks ago. It's very spacious for my 4 member family's needs. I have only 2 complaints---the drawers in the fridge get hung up very easy and the ice maker is noisy when filling with water (makes a squealing sound). The freezer keeps items chilled very well & quickly!
