After 2 weeks, really love it.

Have had the fridge for 2 weeks. Super quiet; works great so far. I think that reviews with noise concerns must mean ice cubes hitting the empty ice bin; that's the only noise. And as to the door complaints -- my salesman told me that the freezer door is intended not to align perfectly with the fridge door. The installers should make sure that the doors are where they are supposed to be. I removed the built-in water filter so my own under-cabinet water filter could be connected to the fridge. For me this works much better because I personally selected my own filter plus I will hardly ever use the fridge ice water or ice cubes and so using my own filter saves me money on replacing GE filters that I won't be using. The manual has instructions about the ice cube maker and making sure the cubes are fresh etc which should be read. I hardly ever use ice and wish that the huge ice bin was much smaller (or not there at all) so I had more storage space in the freezer, but other than that, it's great. The sliding shelves really help to find things in the freezer, where I guess the small shelves make the sliding feature more important. I only wanted Energy Star, and I have always had good luck with GE developer-grade (not fancy) appliances in terms of reliability and long life. For me, this is fancy, because I really wanted a big side-by-side.

I recently purchased this refrigerator and so far it has been everything I expected and more. It offers spacious refrigerator room as well as the largest freezer space in its class. The quality is great and practical, and the price is very reasonable.

The gallon bins in the door are low enough for my kids to reach the milk. The ice maker holds a lot of ice. There are three drawers in the fridge, two in the freezer, and plenty of shelves for organizing food. Love the water dispenser and door alarm.

A little condensation and problem with the grip/suction on the freezer door portion. But operates well. Keeps things cold. The big light at the top takes up space. It's smaller than our last fridge so we're trying to get used to minimalizing for our family of 8.
