No frills, some frowns

Bought this model about two months ago to replace a similar side by side we had owned for 15+ years. The water/ice dispenser was slightly different, did not realize just how major minor differences can be. It frequently seems to leak water after dispensing, even if you hold the container under the spout for a few seconds. Of course the water runs down the front of the unit. The stainless steel unit. I am always wiping and cleaning the front where water has dribbled down. Also, the ice does not seem to drop down very quickly from the maker. You hear the dispenser working. Working. Working. A few cubes drop. Working. One more. Working... There are really not any upgraded features to this model that make me go, "Wow!"
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Exactly the same as the one I had for 18 years except now in stainless steel. I wish it had a fingerprint resistant finish.

Great value and quiet

I bought this refrigerator new 3 months ago. I have been very pleased with it. It is very quiet. The ice maker is amazing at producing a lot of ice quickly. It holds quite a bit of food for a side by side. Water and ice dispenser has a light that comes on when you dispense so minimal spill. I highly recommend this side by side refrigerator.

after reviewing all the major appliance manufactures refrigerator durability and dependability ratings plus designs, (side by side, French door etc.). This one came out slightly ahead to meet our needs. pleased with the choice so far but it is way too early to tell. lets do this review in 10yrs. I will tell you that no refrigerator is designed to last over 10yrs. disposable world. what a shame. good luck

Our old fridge went down and looking for similar one. This one was a perfect pick. It has a nicer designed bought inside and outside. Love it. Specially the icemaker and the water dispenser.
