The overall function is good. This is our second ge fridge and I see what I miss from my first Ge fridge. This fridge has a dome light that comes out on top, which takes space from tall things. The top shelf is the only shelf that allows for a tall pitcher and it can only be upfront to the right or to the left of the dome. Although the cubit feet is labeled as the same as our previous fridge it's definitely smaller. The shelf support groves take up space. The groves are thick and the configurations don't allow for a lot of shelf movement/placement. Another thing is the cold air that comes out of that back vent. Love the temperature, but it too takes up space. I know they sell it as milk jugs go on the door, but door gets open too much and the same goes for eggs. Freezer side is about the same in space. The previous model had a lot of noise coming out of the freezer side, but this fridge ice compartment does take up a lot of space, but its quiet, easy to get ice without using the dispenser and easier to remove for getting a lot of ice out.
Overall I do like this fridge better than the previous model so far. Its quiet, and it holds its temperature (love that).

Great Refrigerator & Freezer

Love this Refrigerator. Very quiet except for the normal refrigerator, freezer, ice making and water sounds. Makes lots of ice. Has many adjustable shelves. Love the 3 plastic drawers in the fridge. Great side door shelves. Like the door open signal, if door open over 3 minutes. Light comes on automatically when using the water and ice dispenser. goes off automatically, too. Hope this refrigerator lasts a really long time.

Replacing a 20+ year old refrigerator was a challenge to find one with all the right specs and wanted a side-by-side. Runs quiet, makes ice quickly (after initial setup), like the finish, easy to change to the filter (big plus), plenty of room in freezer/refrigerator, and lighting inside is good.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Nice Refrigerator but makes noise

I really like the refrigerator it is perfect for us, the only problem I have with it is that it makes noise. It a high pitch sound like something is running i can hear it every time that the refrigerator is on and it is irritating to hear when I'm watching tv.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
