Poor performance

I bought this product two years ago and now I need to replace the compressor. it says a lot about the quality of these GE products. Similar story with the microwave I bought with the fridge. the microwave did not last one month after the warranty expired. NEVER BUYING GE again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Nice fridge

Got fridge Friday cooled down pretty quickly. Looks nice. Just replaced our 28 year old GE fridge which was still working, just leaking a little water. Like all of the in door storage
it frees up the shelves a lot. Quiet and working well.

is Vertical better?

This fridge is great. Our precious fridge has the freezer on the top, not side by side like this one. It feels to me like we get less food into this fridge than the old one. I think it’s the vertical design. Each shelf is so small that we have to move things around a lot to fit bigger items in and anything short but not stackable takes up a lot of room.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I love the ice maker/water are up higher and have the lock feature so the grandson can’t use it.
The storage in the freezer is much more than expected, and I love having the drawer in the fridge for lunch meats, etc.

Great unit for the price. only bad thing is there should be a light on the switches so you can see what you are pushing on the ice and water panel
