Nice Fridge but noisy

Nice refrigerator with a lot of good features. My only complaint is the noise. When the compressor runs, it makes a vibrating sound. I have an open floor plan and the sound carries through the entire house. It makes me crazy. I had a repairman out and he said that's just the way it is. I have never had a fridge make this much noise. If you have open floor plan, you may want to look elsewhere.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Sleek and rich looking with great features

I debated about which refrigerator to purchase but am very pleased with the overall value this refrigerator offers. I has a very high end appearance and lots of extra features at a great value. I love the fact that is has a water filter that removes the most common trace pharmaceuticals and has controls to change the exact temperature of the refrigerator and freezer. GE makes great products. I highly recommend them.

Beautiful but drawers are rough

Love the look of the Slate appliances. Bought this model over a cheaper one for the glass shelves in freezer. I felt the price was reasonable for what we are getting. My only complaint is the drawers are so hard to open and close. They do not slide easily. For a brand new fridge I expected better. I have purchased other refrigerators in the past and have never run into this issue. I am hoping I can spray some silicone spray in the track to eliminate the issue, but feel for a GE it should be flawless.
