Ice maker quit at 3 months

Cools just fine. Water gradually slowed to a trickle. Ice cubes were never over 1 to 2 teaspoons of water. When I changed the water filter at months, the water flow increased, but now there's NO WATER to the ice maker. I'm hoping the warranty covers it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The coldest fridge setting is 34 and at that setting the top shelf will get no colder than 40 degrees. I don’t want to store perishables at that temperature. It’s not a top of the line model so I don’t expect miracles but do think it should work well for it’s core purpose “ keeping things cold” My old fridge was 15 years old and would freeze things if you set it to low. I wasn’t looking for fancy bells and whistles, just something to preserve food. It is something that a family uses many times daily throughout the years and I’m sure will be a source of aggravation. Quite disappointed. Im
confused as to why G E would design something that will only allow you to keep your food at the upper end of the recommended safe storage temperature. Maybe all newer refrigerators are designed this way, If so then G E doesn’t deserve my disappointment alone. Possibly just another example of attempting to improve something but achieving the opposite effect. ITs A LONG LIST.......

Can you find your food in the dark?

The LED lighting information should state that you won’t be able to find your food unless you are a bat and can see in the dark. The top refrigerator LED light Board is insufficient and gives off a tiny bit of dull yellow light. This fridge certainly does not have useful LED lighting at all. I am so sorry I paid more for LED lighting and got much less light, I can’t see my food and need a flashlight to do so. It is like a dark kitchen cabinet without any lights in this fridge.

We are going on 2 months now and LOVE our refrigerator!! It's beautiful and the slate color is awesome when it comes to no fingerprints. My only complaint would be that it can be darker inside when fridge is full. The lighting is very dim.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Poor design!!

I bought this GE to replace an old one and wish I had my old one back. Inside the fridge the light in the top is dim but is huge and hangs so low in the top shelf area that you can't get a number of containers under it. A small LED light would be much brighter and make that space more usable. The water tray in the door drains right out on to the floor. Most trays have a lip on the tray to keep the drips from running down the front of the refrigerator and on to the floor.

This item looks great, but falls short on a few things. The door hinges are made of plastic and will break/crack. I’ve had the warranty company fix/repair 3 times since purchase in 2016. The magnetic door seals also fail quickly and do not seal the doors properly. Especially the freezer door. You’ll go to bed and wake up to find that the freezer door has mysteriously cracked open a bit allowing frost to accumulate around the freezer door and interior.
The ice maker will dispense cubed ice fine, but crushed ice takes about 60 seconds to fill a typical 12 once glass.
Tread carefully with this one. It keeps the temperature well, but the doors and seals are something else.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
