This movie is a classic and many will refer to it as part of the Rushmore of Anime movie classics.
The case is incredible, I'm so glad I got it. I had the mondo release, but this surpasses it by far. I usually don't like the slipcovers, but it looks really good on this bad boy.

If you're a GitS fan from way way back then this is a no-brainer purchase of a classic anime. The steenbok packaging with slipcase is gorgeous. The transfer is a faithful copy of the original movie -- no trying to update the CGI like they did years back. It's not going to look as good as modern animated efforts in 4K, but it is a well done picture and sound transfer.
