nice printer but.... it sucks cartridges dry

My wife bought me the original mb2320. Had it rma'd cause it sucked cartridges dry with little to no use which I thought was a problem. Turn it on and it goes through its process and a full ink cartridge now has to be replaced cause it's EMPTY!!!! SUCKED DRY!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this and it goes through ink like crazy! I will get maybe 50 prints before it is out of ink. I have only used canon ink. Worst printer ever!

I have used my new Canon Maxify for about 3 weeks now. I have been a single-minded user of another brand of multi-function machines for over 10 years, but Canon has convinced me.
A few "out-of-the-box" issues: 1) I have never had to build my own printer, butt the assembly was quite straight-forward, 2) the initial set-up time ran longer than I thought it should (about 40 minutes), 3) my laptop did not immediately auto-find/sync with the printer, as directions claimed. However, going through the manual steps when the auto-steps failed, took less than 10 minutes, was easy, and worked flawlessly.
After the initial irritation, I have been impressed with the speed, quietness, and look of the products. I have had no further issues, and have only good things to say about the machine's operation.
I have not run out of ink yet, but I have priced ink replacements. If the quantities hold as promised / represented, this machine will be substantially cheaper to run on larger volumes than my prior machine.
Canon has earned my business!

Canon MB2020 review

Overall this printer has a lot of value I one package, print times are fast, but transfer to printer from computer when idle is sometimes very slow. I am satisfied with print quality. Ink supplied has outlasted my old printers capacity. It is rather bulky on a desktop, but has a nice look.
