Envelope Return Address Glitch
on December 23, 2015

I bought this for my small office because the scanner on my HP went bad after several years. I was sold on the many features of the MB2320 geared towards a small business at a very reasonable price. The only drawback I see so far is regardless of how you set your return address envelope placement using MS Word (auto default or manually), the return address is placed 1.25" from the left side of the envelope when it is printed. Totally unacceptable (especially for business). Canon tech support has verified that this is HW design problem. So even though it is a nice printer (for the price), if you are printing envelopes and you are printing the return address (in lieu of pre-printed envelopes), you should be aware of this. The addressee placement is ok.

What a pain!

This is my mom's printer and it has nothing but problems. As I have seen other viewers report, color cartridges run out at unexpected times, often just after installation. It often shows as being offline only to wake up the next morning and it works only to go out again later. Other WiFi products work well even when this machine is listed as offline. Every time I visit my mom, "Fix the printer" is on her list of things I can help give attention.

Not for extended use.

I've had this printer for about 9 months now and have printed about 4,500 pages, all B&W with small amount of color on about every 5th page or so. I do a lot of repetitive printing. For the past month now, this has been giving me a number of issues, continually spooling after printing or before printing. I've ran through two whole ink sets (3-color cartridges and a black cartridge) in the past week with minimal printing (less than 25 pages). If you need durability and don't want to buy a new printer twice a year, find another product.

It cannot be understated what a piece of junk this printer is. Whenever you want to print, it will fail. Maybe it will jam, maybe it will say "Please wait momentarily, processing..." for 5 minutes, maybe it just won't print. One way or the other, you can count on it NOT to work when you need it.

No Scanning without ink

I bought this as a scanner with the ability to print in color as I have a black ink laser printer for my business, I don't use the MB2320 printer function often and now the sample ink is empty which apparently means I can't scan. Not very environmentally responsible. I've seen there is some 'backdoor way' to accomplish scanning without the ink, but it will take a search on the internet for instructions. The printer function worked well, but it always lost the 'wifi' connection so I had to walk my laptop into the office and use the usb connection.

Disappointed

I've had this printer for several months now. I've always had Canon printers. This one is unfortunately not up to what I'm used to from Canon. I'm really disappointed in this product.
Pluses are that it is somewhat user friendly. Even from the small screen, you can do a lot. However, the minuses are many. For instance, if you remove an ink cartridge for whatever reason, it's done and cannot be reinserted. You cannot even make the cartridge carrier appear unless a cartridge is out, and then you cannot remove the others. Currently, my printer is only printing faint images (mostly no ink); however, when I print the nozzle pattern check, it does fine. I've cleaned the cartridges several times and also did a deep cleaning (which uses a lot of ink), but to no avail. It is now useless. There are other issues, but suffice it to say that I wish I had not spent the money for this product.
We'll see how the warranty works out.

Nothing Wrong with Mine

Read the reviews of people who complained about ink, printing problems, etc. Wonder if they are using Canon ink. Had my printer for about 8 months and love it. Am using Canon ink only. Much more expensive, but absolutely no printing problems.

Better look else where for efficiency & relability

I agree with other reviewers that this printer is low quality. We print wirelessly, that was one of the appeals to purchasing this over two years ago, (that was newer technology then!) and it does take a considerable amount of time to print so I can't speak to its speed when connected directly to the computer or other devices, but wireless printing is time consuming. My boyfriend has a PC laptop and is able to exert quite a bit of control when printing in Chrome and Office applications. He is even able to initiate/monitor printer head cleaning and testing. I have a Mac and I am not able to exert nearly the same level of control over my print jobs in Chrome nor am I able to initiate any testing. Though it was been a while since I have updated (if ever) my printer driver, definitely before upgrading to macOS Sierra, so I will, for the most part, reserve judgment until I update my drivers. We use our printer very infrequently and find that doing a print head cleaning + testing is necessary almost every single time we print. Otherwise, we have all sorts of strange outcomes. Lines of text will be missing on pages, placed in the incorrect place as if the page was somehow nudged, or other strange happenings. One of the most frequent things I print are coupons, and this printer....let me tell you, just so happens to leave pieces of the barcode out rendering it useless, and you cannot reprint coupons that have been printed. This is a giant annoyance for me and is literally the reason I am in the market for a new printer. We have found the ink usage for this printer is astronomically high.Given that when we have to perform printer head & ink testing &cleaning prior to each time we print, we waste a lot of ink. Right after we run out of our third-party ink, we will be replacing this printer. Our printer has also displayed a notification for a firmware update for at least 4-6 months and asks us to go into the settings to update the firmware. After going into settings and performing a firmware update check we are told that the firmware is up to date...strange.
