this product has great ergonomic features

Everything about this appliance is great the front loading, the shelves to make sure i am aware ergonomically!! I recommend this product to everyone! !!!

I am VERY DISSATISFIED with this washing machine. Front door leaked immediately. The seal is poorly designed as it is not a perfect fit between the drum and the glass door. Repair man came out and said "one hair" would cause it to leak and it must be cleaned after every use (door and seal wiped down).

I was very exited when I bought this washing machine. The use of less water the different programs, the long cycles, and the reputation of LG made me think it was a good buy.
Unfortunately, I soon realized my white garments where getting greyish and the collars and cuffs on my husband's shirts came out with the same ring they went in with. I now have to use bleach every other laundry, which I do not like and is not good for your skin, but it is the only way the garments come out clean.
On the other hand, I noticed some rusty spots on the pull out detergent container, a problem I never had with my previos washing machines.
Last but no least, I left a wasted flashlight battery on top of the washer and two days later the white paint under the battery was gone.
I think the manufacturer either used a cheap paint or applied a very thin layer of paint.
This is my honest evaluation.

Big mistake, big regret, zero stars!

Unfortunately the Energy Star people take manufacturers' word for it that the appliances they certify "perform their function according to expectations. " We bought this as a match to the dryer, which works OK. Big mistake. Zero stars.
The machine gets the clothes wet with soapy water and basically tosses them listlessly back and forth in the drum. The truth about this machine is that you must use the pre-wash feature, use the hottest cycle, and add an extra rinse/s in order to get anything clean. For towels, I run an extra "speed wash" with household vinegar.
This machine takes about 2-3 hours per load--if you have a large family, you will be running it nonstop. It requires additional maintenance every month. If you don't wipe out the seal and leave the door open, you will have a stinky mold problem. Lastly, if you have to run every load twice in boiling water, and replace the machine every five years (now average for 'durable goods'), that's not really

Machine failed in less than 3 months

The washing machine has great features if the machine would power on. The main board failed in less than 3 months and the two replacement boards have also failed. Buyer beware.

I like the quickness of the wash. It's very easy to use. I don't like how loud it is. Each cycle can be pretty loud. We made sure it was balanced but it's still loud.

Overall great washing machine

Love the size and all the features. We had the first generation front load LG loved them but 10 years old. This one fits my king size comforter without any issue.

Should my washer and dryer make me want to cry??

When it was time to replace my top loader Kennore washer/dryer after 15 years, I was excited at the idea of this combo. Wrong! The mildew smell I had heard of but the smell of sulphur on the first load every time??? My clothes are supposed to be clean after that??? The terrible dryer design that wraps up and breaks off the waist ties in every pair of pants? i have to few ash numerous times. Where is the supposed saving? What does this offer me but frustration, stench, time and more cost? Only about 1 1/2 years with these and I am crying for a replacement. I have 4 kids - I can't afford to have a poor experience in the laundry room!
