Easy to use

Bought this on a recommendation, not entirely happy with its performance. Love the signal that the cycle is complete. Does the final rinse in very HOT water (per LG, to rinse out all the detergent), but I do NOT want my cold wash clothes rinsed in hot water-wears out and fades them. No option to eliminate that rinse Loud noise when it pulls water from the pipes.
Pros: easy to use
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

So far so good!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The washing cycle works very different if to compare to my old machine. Usually I prefer to use a lot of water to clean my clothing and this one uses very little of water. I was concerned that it wouldn't wash and rinse well. Basically the cloths were inside a small puddle, not moving much. But it looked fine afterwards, so no complains here. Machine looks great - shiny parts, lights... I removed one star only because it would be much better not to have all these features and pay less for less options. The only option I wanted was a steam and this model was the least expensive ( but not cheap by any means!). Wi-fi? All these numerous cycles? Does anyone uses them all?? Would be nice to hear from this person
Pros: Style/Design

features don't have value to quality ratio

There are a lot of features to this machine, unfortunately, the overall performance is very poor. After months of back and forth with the customer service reps and multiple visits with technicians concerning the washer leaking significant amounts of water, it was determined that we were using to much soap. This was a common problem and should have been discussed early on, not 6 months down the road and hours of wasted time. (the final analysis was to use one table spoon of soap, and yes, thats the HE soap)
The child lock feature does not lock out the power button. Once your children hit the power button, there's no going back. You need to complete a full cycle again because you have no idea what part of the cycle they turned it off in. AND, because the cleaning is so poor, you almost always have to run a prewash along with one - two extra rinse cycles to get basic loads clean.
The turbo feature is quick, but gets your clothes no cleaner than dunking them in your sink and ringing the water out of them.
If you have children, sweat, or get the least bit of dirt on your clothes, these machines are not for you. They will come out still dirty and still smelly. If you work behind a desk and never go outside, it would be sufficient. Hope this helps all the working families that still remain.

I love how the washer uses so little water but the smell is really bad. Even if you clean it regularly it just stinks.

lots of options, of little use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this washer 3 months ago and wanted to love it. But I don't. The machine boosts tons of options but all they seem to do is add valuable time to the load cycle. And with all the options available I haven't been able to find one that sufficiently washes my three teenage boys stinky athletic wear. The synthetic materials used by clothing manufacturers today are notorious for holding sweat and body odor. My previous washer had a sportswear cycle that lasted 35 minutes and used the recommended cold water option. I could not find a similar cycle option on this machine's control panel or in the Download Cycle function. When I contacted LG about an appropriate cycle option for athletic wear it was suggested that I use the Allergiene or Sanitary cycles. The clothing manufactures labeling on typical "DryFit" clothing recommends cold temperatures... not hot steam. When I purchased the machine I was excited to try these two options (Allergiene or Sanitary) however they last upwards of 120 minutes so I don't even bother to use them. I just use bleach when appropriate. My experience has been that most cycles take over an hour to complete. This is my third front loading machine. This machine takes longer to wash a load, yet unfortunately, cleans no better than my previous Maytag or Electroux. Clothes still come out with the occasional oil stain, dirt marks and pit odors. The only thing I find useful about this machine over other washers on the market is the coin trap access of the front corner of the machine.

Excellent Washer Excellent Quality

This washer has exceeded my expectations! What a wonderful machine! Saves water being a front loader, also spins clothes to the point where there almost dry, so that equals less drying time also. Is worth the extra money because you will save money in the long run!
Pros: Performance, Features/Settings, money saver
