Does the job just fine

This is the first front loader we purchased. It does the job just fine. Had to get used to the machine thinking and taking time to come up with the correct cycles to get the maximum efficiency, but now just leave it do its thing and it works great. Easy on the clothes and really cleans well. The matching dryer is also great.

Washes well and doesn't shake the house

This washer does just about everything we ask of it - it washes the clothes well, it uses very little water and detergent, and it does not shake my house.
I wouldn't say it is quiet, but it isn't really noisy, either. The design is very attractive. The cycle finished alarm is actually a chime which is quite nice.
Some people say the washer smells bad, and this is true if you leave it wet. I keep a small towel handy and wipe out the gasket after every wash. I also wipe down the door and leave it in the magnetically latched but not closed position. This helps a whole lot.
That's the biggest hassle. Each wash cycle has it's own features and some things can be controlled (like using cold tap water, turbo wash, remembering cycles, etc...)
So far, I love it and am happy with the purchase.

Excellent washer

We have been very happy with this purchase, the washer is very easy to use and I am very surprised at how clean the clothes are and how dry they are when they come out, cuts way back on dryer time.

My old washer died but was on warranty. The store had only this model and another brand to choose from. I am so glad I chose the LG. It works and cleans very well. The only negative part is having to wipe the rubber seal until try. I live in Hawaii and find that I need to let it air dry completely before closing the door completely, otherwise the humidity causes condensation and leaves the rubber wet/damp again. I didn't purchase the pedestal since I don't do that many wash loads, but if you do wash a lot then you might think about purchasing it.

I really love all the features on this machine, they are easy to use and figure out so I can actually use what is available. The washer is so quite, I have my machine next to my home office and it does not cause any disturbance at all. Love the machine.

Like Product But Doesn't Meet Energy Effcy Ratings

Very happy with the product, but when I submitted my credit request with my energy company, they said it didn't qualify for reimbursement.
It takes a bit of work to understand the different cycles, but once you have it down, it is easy. It would be nice if the cycles matched fabric types. My product didn't come with the non-skid pads, but I didn't need them. Steam function is nice, but not critical.
Thought my value was pretty good.
