Does a good job washing clothes
on October 3, 2014

The washer has more features that I would need but it does clean the clothes well. The fact that liquid 'color-safe' can not be used is a problem. Cleaning the filter is extremely difficult. I cleaned my old top loader after every wash. This is a major job
I would recommend this to a friend!

Easy to use.

Overall, we definitely like the front loader versus the top load, agitator style, washer. It seems to do a good job getting the clothes clean; the many options allow us to individualize each load.
One feature the front loader does not offer (no matter the brand) is no option or setting for an independent "spin cycle" without having to go through the entire wash cycle. We surveyed other owners before changing to a front loader and this same 'complaint' was a common theme among owners of front loaders.
Pros: Performance, easy to use, Quality

Really love this washer. It's highest spin cycle makes some clothes almost dry coming out of the washer and cuts drying time significantly. Clothes are very clean. Also a very quiet machine, which is nice.
Pros: Performance, easy to use

Is it on???

When our new washer was delivered, we had been without a working washer for almost two weeks! Clothes piled everywhere! As the installers finished I asked "Do we need to run an initial 'test' or 'set' load, or can we just do some regular loads right away?" When he said we could just start using it - WE DID! We filled it! To the BRIM! Pants, shirts, socks, uniforms, towels - EVERYTHING needed to be washed. The chimes were cute, but we wanted CLEANING action. We watched the tub spin a little and shake a little, then it would spin a little and shake a little. We could hear some water entering the tub. So, we went off to prepare the next load. As we brought things to the laundry room, everything was so quiet I wondered if it had finished already (!!) or if it had stopped because it was "out of balance" or something. Looking inside, no, it was operating fine, just like we left it. IT WAS SO QUIET!! Oh, what a blessing! A QUIET appliance! Who would have thunk that was possible? Now, can you teach the kids to be that quite while they are doing their (home) work??
Pros: Performance, easy to use, quiet operation

Almost Awesome

Pros :
Gets the clothes clean using only half the amount of detergent shown on the bottle.Runs very quiet and smoothly. Also the first front loader I've owned that doesn't get stuck on the spin cycle due to out of balance load.
Cons :
Water temp is a bit on the cool side. Have to use the hot wash setting to warm wash water. Warm setting uses tepid water temp.Doesn't add enough water to get the clothes wet on the rinse cycles. Clothes are barely more than damp and fabric softener doesn't work. Must use water plus modifier to get enough water for rinses. This means that I can't use the extra rinse modifier because you cannot use water plus and extra rinse at the same time. Getting all the soap out of the clothes is very important to me due to allergies.
Overall I'm satisfied with the machine and would have given it 5 stars if not for the rinse water level issue.

Smell, Leaks, Etc
on November 25, 2015

Purchased both Washer and Dryer combo. Both have failed.
The washer leaks from the door (gasket is fine).
Our clothes stink. How can this be????
Looks like we are going back to Whirlpool top loader and selling these horribly expensive and useless machines.
We would return them in heartbeat but unfortunately we moved overseas and can't.
Good luck to whoever has these.

I hate this washer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is hands-down the worst washer I've ever owned. As other reviewers complained, this machine doesn't use nearly enough water to get clothes clean. I use the water plus feature which helps, but only a little (and it extends the wash time to over an hour). Still, the majority of spots don't come off clothes. Even more aggravating is the shaking & vibration during the spin cycle. And what's up with having to drain the little hose at the bottom every month? A man set foot on the moon 50 years ago but in 2016 you have manually drain excess water from your washer?!? I HATE THIS WASHER.

Low Water Usage

Verified Purchase:Yes
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This machine has worked great so far and uses very little water.
As long as you maintain/clean the door seal and pump screen it should be trouble free.
Also don't forget to check your hot/cold water inlet hose screens if the wash times slowly increase.
I have read reviews about excessive vibration but have not experienced this. As long as you wash heavy item one at a time it should not be an issue, review this in the owner's manual.
Overall I like this product.
