Clothes not getting clean, REALLY long cycles

I've watched a few loads and it seems as though there is never enough water in there to wash anything. I pulled a load of cloth napkins out after an hour and fifteen minute cycle and there were spots on the napkins that were completely dry. No water ever touched them. I've started adding extra water to each cycle but that seems to defeat the purpose of the water efficiency of a front loader.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The machine vibrates a lot when it goes into the spin cycle, The sound can be felt thru the house. Our laundry room is on the 2nd floor. For white laundry; the colors are not bright and looks dirty, I add extra water and Oxy or bleach. When you don't fill the machine with laundry the machine tends to go out of balance, the machine needs to be full before it will work properly. It has a lot of good features but this doesn't help to wash the clothes properly

LG sticks in "Pros" but these are just comments
it does an adequate job of cleaning
it has way more cycles and options than I'll ever use, I've learned to just press power, wait 2 seconds, press start and walk away for like an hour
it's pretty quiet, once you install the water-hammer-arrestors that you have to buy separately
it's very heavy and seems well made
the first one delivered started leaking after 1 load, the replacement has been working fine for 3 months so far
it can pointlessly communicate with a cell phone that is held against it
it will wash a larger load of clothes than I can fit in my old dryer, I guess LG would just want me to buy a new dryer.
Pros: easy to use
I would recommend this to a friend!

Amazing Machine

Super quiet if this is a requirement for anyone, was only looking for the most capacity with steam options for the money and this machine takes the cake... Great value and only regret not having bought a new machine earlier. Works great with easy features too! Love it!

Purchased the machine 3 months ago and no problems so far. Easy to use. Nice features. Only concern I am having is, the rubber seal of the front door has some strong smell. I hope it is due the fact that machine is new.

I work at a restaurant and we have a LG washer and dryer. They are both 7 years old and working just fine. We do between 3 to 5 loads every day. I'm expecting this washing machine could do the same but we wont need to do that many loads. The only issue with this machine so far is when it first starts the water pipes in the in the wall "thump" several times when the water valve opens and closes.
