Just over a year (warranty over) it leaks

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A high end front load machine shouldn't start leaking water out of the front with light use (2 people and I dry clean a lot of clothes) after 1 year. Poor poor build.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far the washer has been perfect EXCEPT a faulty door seal. Every cycle there is water all over the floor coming from the door. the water is leaking from the door seal.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Terrible Control Panel Lettering Durability

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The painted letters on our washer are washing off (from detergents dripping on them), if it continues we won't know what cycle we are using. LG says we have to pay to have a new control panel because it's cosmetic.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Am not impressed I have to keep the door open all the time do to smell. It cleans great but the smell if it gets closed can't stand and I clean it and wipe after every use.

Not impressed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my second pair of LG washer/dryers. I am not impressed with this model. The washer gasket holds onto dog hair and other dirt and its difficult to remove. Also, the washer slightly leaks sometimes and a stream of water will drip down the front. I generally love LG products.
Pros: easy to use

Leaking door from day 1 due to poor gasket design
on April 6, 2017

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The gasket sealing the door is poorly designed. If there is any hair, or pet fur on the door or the gasket the washer will leak. What's worse is that even if you meticulously clean the door and gasket, hairs make their way from your clothing and break the seal. This is clearly a design issue. The gasket should have had larger contact area with the door (currently only about 1/8" is all that's supposed to keep the water out), and the door should press against the seal more tightly. Since buying this washer I have seen exactly the same problem on 4 other LG washers at friends' and family's houses. This is clearly a poor design and one that is not specific to a single model, but rather affecting various machines from different years.
LG should offer a new redesigned door seal. I won't be holding my breath, however. In short, DO NOT BUY AN LG WASHER.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After 2 months of use had to clean out the filter. If it gets clogged in the middle of a cycle then you have to wait for all the water to drain out of the little hoes before you can get the filter out to clean it. If it's going to get clogged that quick then it should be easier to get to and easier water drainage. Would also like to have a higher spin speed on the bulky items as to get enough water I have to put my stuff on bulky otherwise they are still dry when it starts to wash. Everybody so worried about water conservation that they really don't give you enough water to do a correct job of washing your clothes. I think all front load washers should give you the option to put more water in then what they want you to have. There is a extra water button but only for certain Cycles and if you do extra water you cannot have extra rinses. It's too bad they don't tell you that before you buy your washer. I find myself and everyone else in my family using the quick wash just so that we don't have to wait two hours for one load of laundry to get done. So it appears that even though this has many options it also limits what you can and can't do and you don't use half of them because of how long it takes to do a load. Would also be nice if you got to choose your wash cycle time and not have it pre-done for you. Would even be nice or yet if it told you the actual wash time!!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These washers are the worst! If you buy make sure you buy extended warranty. You will need it. Been trying to get my washer fixed after having it for 6 months. 5 repairs later on the same thing it is out of warranty and have to pay 3\4 the price of washer to get it fixed. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!
