I just got this in the mail and it is so hard to open and close!!!!! It's terrible just for that fact, what's the point in getting the wallet part if you can't even open it?!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We’re sorry that this Commuter Wallet is being a tad stubborn. Although we want the wallet drawer to be secure so nothing is lost, it should not take extreme feats of strength to manipulate.
Sometimes with new cases it simply takes a little bit of time for that feature to become more user-friendly. If, after more use, you find this issue persist please give our friendly Otters a call at 1-855-419-7417, and we will be happy to get you set up with a warranty replacement.

Bought about two weeks ago and am rather indifferent about the entire thing. I like the look and customizability of the case but I feel it offers little protection in the front and customers would be better off purchasing the Defender series. The Commuter seems to protect against drops and normal wear and tear but doesn't offer the level of protection I associate with OtterBox.

My phone loves gravity. It's s love/hate relationship. My phone lives it and I hate it.
Anyway, my phone has found gravity after flying off my lap many times I forgot it was there, hitting concrete.
It's found gravity when I drop it or step on it.
And I've dropped it, flung it, it flew through the air, then hits our brick driveway in nj or concrete, and it's in perfect condition.

I just wish I could get cuter covers in commuter cases...not have to use decals. And I wish if I bought like 2or more cases at a time, I'd get a discount.
But you have a great product here.
For such a slim phone cover, I'm always protected. Ive actually watched other ppls screens break from a much lighter impact than mine, Bc I drop mine ALOT!...it even flew off the golf cart when we went over a speed bump, going 20mph. And there was a tiny dent in plastic, but my phone was in perfect condition.

I'm very accident-prone so I use the Defender for my personal phone and it is the BEST phone case I've ever used. I recently acquired a work phone and this is great for a phone I don't have on me 100% of the time. The Commuter definitely makes my phone feel safe but it's just not as good.
