No, there is no mic. You would want Bose MIE2, but they are only compatible with iPhone, not Android.

You can, but just know; there is no in-line mic. So with most phones, you will have to have the microphone on the phone somewhat close to your mouth in order for the caller to hear you. There is a model of these that has an in-line mic and is designed for use while on calls. Hope this helps!

I currently own these and like the bass in them. I feel like they're a little too flat and the crash in the drums is too diluted or drawn out. Can anyone recommend any earbuds than can do this better?

Maybe if you change the settings from what ever device you are using. The bass may be set too high and your treble set too low.

Being one whose hearing is not substantially damaged yet, I would submit that the real output is probably flat. Decrease your treble output or increase your bass output to make it right. Check your hearing for high end loss first. Then, realize that low end frequency response is normally a problem if improperly fitted earbuds are used. Shove it in, bud....:))

Talking strictly inner ear headphones, I can say Sony's MDR-XB60EX have superior bass than these, and you can do even better because these are not Sony's top of the line. They are also cheaper.
These BOSE are about the comfort, certainly not the sound, although is still better than average.

Try the Monster iSports. There's 3 different ones: the Immersions, Intensity's, and Strive. They are pretty much the same headphones, but with different tips and accents. They compare to the Bose ie2's. They arent as refined, but they have more thump to it. The strive are the cheapest ones @ $70, but I didn't like the way the tips felt. A plus is that since they're dedicated workout headphones, theyre sweat proof!

Yes, the ones that come fitted ordinarily are the medium ones. But they come with small and large inserts as well. Note that your ears might not be the same. Experiment with perhaps a small in one ear and a large in the other, encompassing all combinations. You'll find the right one. These buds are awesome!

They come with 3 different sized tips. Small, Medium, Large. I have a hard time finding ear buds that fit and stay in my ear, but these do a tremendous job.

Yes the Bose IE2 Headphones come with the extra silicon plugs (small and large) the medium silicone earpieces are pre-applied an are easy to remove.

The MIE2i headphones include three different sized silicone tips. The Medium tips are pre-installed on the ear buds and both Small and Large pairs are included in the packaging.
