The volume control goes from 1-100 and we need to go up to about 70 to start hearing the sound and higher than that to hear the sound good. Even at 100 it's not overly loud. Is this normal or is there a setting we should be changing? This is quiet different from other LED TV's we have where by a volume of 30 it's really loud.
i don't have any problem with the volume on the tv. my son likes it to be on 25, and he hears the volume just fine. are your ears ok? :) or how is the tv positioned in the room? is it in a cabinet - sometimes the volume/speakers aren't good in a media cabinet.
We improved the sound some by pushing the "sound" button on the remote, selecting "sound mode", click OK, select "User Setting", click OK, move all 5 frequency bars to the right (+10). It helps a little.
return the tv its defect brand. LG is a poor quality sound tv. read my post about the sound picture a 4 star sound horrible every tv inches and above sound better
Does the base allow one to tilt the screen up or down? I plan to use this in the kitchen so I can watch it from my counter, which is higher than the shelf on which the screen would sit. This may not be an ideal viewing angle unless I can tilt the screen.
No, the standard base does not allow for tilting in any direction, unfortunately, but there are some after market mounts you can use to mount it to the wall or countertop/desktop that will allow tilting.
Thank you for your interest in the 24" 720p 60Hz LED HDTV, MOdel # 24LN451B. Chromecast like Roku, Apple TV and other after market devices that can be connected to your non-smart TV to make it smart will work with any TV that has an available HDMI port on it...
You should be able to use a Chromecast with this TV, but keep in mind that Chromecasts require the use of an open HDMI port. Since this TV only features one HDMI input, your connection options for other devices (DVD players, Blu-ray players, etc) would be extremely limited.
i have yellow, white, red connectors for DVD player (not blurry) and back of tv..I have cable plugged in and connections were set and working before, now they don't. Where can I find instructions on how to connect again, I unplugged and don't know which cord goes where.?
Hello, Thank you for contacting us with your question on the 24LN451B 720p 60Hz HDTV. Could you please clarify what exactly is not working when you say that "the connections were set and working before now they don't!" Do you just need to know how to reconnect them or is it that you're not getting any signal through them? The cables are color coordinated and if you have the same cables, you would just need to follow the colors and connect accordingly, but you can always visit the LG site and download a copy of the owner's manual or you can call Customer Information Center and have Representative walk you through the connections. Another option would be to just ask any Sales Associate at Best Buy should you happen to pass through one close to you and they will be able to assist you...IFV
Thank you for your interest in the LG - 24" Class (23-1/2" Diag.) - LED - 720p - 60Hz - HDTV, Model 24LN451B. This TV is not a smart TV so it does not come with pre-loaded apps. You can view NetFlix on this through a smart Blu-ray player that has NetFliz on it or other devices like a Roku or Chromecast that will let you access those apps...IFV
We recently purchased the LG 24LN451B from best buy, we just had it connected through COMCAST, however, the unit is blinking and showing signs of interference (interruption) every 3-7 minutes within 30 - 40 seconds in a row. What is causing this?
Hello Ron, Congratulations on the purchase of the 24" 720p 60Hz HDTV, Model # 24LN451B. Sorry to hear that you're experiencing some problems with viewing content on the TV. The problem cannot be determined without a troubleshoot because it could be anything from a problem with something internally within the TV to the connections or the power source could be causing the interference or something else. Your TV is still covered under the 1 year warranty so you may need to contact LG Customer Support (800) 243-000, and schedule a repair. If you have additional warranty with Best Buy, contact their Geek Squad and ask them what your options are depending on what is covered under their warranty. I believe they offer either a 2 year or 5 year plan...IFV
The tv could be located to close to your cable box, try moving them away from each other, or if you are using a multi plug surge protector/power outlet, it could be that. I recommend Monster surge protectors.
Try viewing programming in another mode, such as a disk player or game console. If the problem only occurs when viewing cable programming, and that is the only change that has recently been made to your home theater system, then it is likely that your cable programming is at issue and you should contact Comcast for further assistance. If the problem persists in all viewing modes, I suggest carrying your TV in to your local Geek Squad to pursue warranty service options. I hope this helps.
I'm looking everywhere... but I don't see where it states it has an analog/digital tuner... I"m looking to screw in an RF coax connector and scanning for channels without a converter box... does it do this?
This model does have a coaxial input available, and a built in tuner. I do not use it for this purpose,(mine is strictly a monitor for my computer) but It was included as part of the initial setup, it will automatically scan for channels during the process. Whether it needs a converter box or not, that remains to be seen, but I would hazard to guess it will work. Good luck and enjoy your tv!
