There is a trial version on it. There is a version of word but its not the full version. If you want the entire Microsoft Office bundle you would have to buy it. Unfortunately this is not how it was advertised...
I believe so, it is Windows 8.1, not the stripped down RT. This one does come with the student & home office suite 2013 included, not a trial but the actual suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint & OneNote.
I'm pretty sure there's mistakes in the "product features" section. It's a quad core processor, not dual core and there's no micro hdmi output. Don't believe me? This is lenovo's product page: http://shop.lenovo.com/us/en/tablets/ideatab/miix-series/miix-2/
It is a bay trail quad core processor and the only port is a micro USB. If you buy an adapter it can power up a portable hard drive not sure about DVD drive as I don't have one.
Battery life will vary depending on the product configuration, product model, applications loaded on the product, power management setting of the product, and the product features used by the customer. As with all batteries, the maximum capacity of this battery will decrease with time and usage.
If it is a USB air stick, you can possibly buy a male MicroUSB to female USB adapter and get it to plug-n-play. I have an adapter and use my phone as a modem through PDAnet on a verizon phone.
If you had the right cable It should work. The Miix 8 doesn't have a full size usb port so you need an adapter. It's running Windows 8.1 so you would just have to install the Verizon software.
can this tablet be used for flash sites/chat sites like chatroleutte, chatcity, etc?,and can it play flash enabled content like Youtube ,Vevo, etc?Thank you
Asus Pat,yes you can go on chat sites and flash enabled content like you tube.Speaking if YouTube my daughter uses this to go on you tube everyday. Its worth the money. Also it has pretty much everything my laptop has but smaller....
Yes this tablet will play flash enabled websites. ABC, CBS, and HULU, Megashare. etc. The tablet is a full windows 8 computer. It does what a regular PC/Laptop does.
