Yes. I have my PS4 connected via the Ethernet cable directly to this extender. I don’t play online or anything. I just have it connected for updates to the system or the games tho. So I don’t know about the lag for true online gaming. But yes, it will connect to your PS4, either wired or wirelessly.
I have my extender ~20 feet away from the primary wifi router and it works great. I placed mine in a dead area where without the extender, a device will only receive a two-bar signal.
I have many walls in my home, but I'm able to amplify my wifi on opposite ends of house now and even outdoors. I installed this about half way into the house from the outer corner of opposite side of my house...aprox. 140 ft.range can now pickup out in my shed and garage.
Once you have four green lights on your extender IGNORE the set up app, then go directly to your device you will see the name of your internet connection plus( _ext) next to it, connect to that , You should now be all set to go!, Hope this helps
If you are streaming in standard definition than you could hardwire your TV into this device and it should be okay. But of you are streaming in high definition this will most likely not keep up. And if you are streaming in 4k forget about this, you need a much better mesh Wifi system. One like the Orbi which uses a third, high band like 50GHz for connectivity of your extenders so they don't interfere with your 5GHz or 2.4 GHz endpoint connectivity.
Yes after a few times of trying to sit it up but once it connect to my Wi-Fi all is good. Please do not call the number on the box for help they try and sell you something else.
