This device does not require an additional chip to work, but if you need one to add additional maps they can be purchased from this retailer.

While topo maps can be used on the device, they will have limited functionality when compared to an outdoor unit.

Does it include maps for ALL of North America? Does it include U.S. Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands and Bahamas?

Other websites say that the nuvi 2555LMT is pre-loaded with "City Navigator NT North America (U.S., Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands and Bahamas)"
But the Best Buy description only says US, Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico. Are the other maps missing from the model being sold here, or is the description missing some information?

It does not include all maps until you BUY a micro memory card and download all 49 states, disappointing this is not on the outside of the box.

It comes with a power adapter that fits in the vehicle lighter and a USB cable that can plug into your computer that will charge it while plugged in.
