The 'Powered' thing.

I know this has been answered but i was wondering if this thing comes with an ac adapter. Like can i power it from a wall outlet and connect it to my computer so i have extra power? Like i dont want it to be supplied power from my usb. I want it to be powered from the wall mostly. Im having trouble with all my usb ports and i was wondering if it was a power problem so this thing being powered by a usb port wouldnt help. If this one cant do what i need it to do can anyone recommend a usb hub that can?

I would be happy to assist you with this question. You are able to power this item through a wall outlet, however, you would have to purchase the power cable separately.

Can't play dvd though i have an external dvd drive.

I have an external hard drive on this computer. I put a dvd in it and expected to play it. It doesn't recognize it and although I can see that it is there on the drive, it won't open it. is there a program i'm supposed to open it in such as media player, which I can't find where it is.

I would be happy to assist you with verifying this information.
You would need to verify whether or not you actually have an external DVD drive or an external hard drive. If it is just a hard drive, you will be unable to play DVD/CD's in it. You would only be able to perform this function with an actual external DVD drive.

Currently there is not a plug or cable available to be able to stream from your smartphone to a TV that only has RCA plugs. You would need to purchase a streaming device in order to access Netflix or other streaming media on this type of TV.
