The keyboard has to fit the length and width of the iPad, so no, it is not the size of a standard keyboard, but it is not small, either. See my photo with iPad propped up behind my desktop keyboard. (What appears to be lighting in the lower left corner is just glare.) The letter keys are slightly smaller than a standard keyboard. The specialty function keys on the top row are about half the height of the keys on my standard keyboard. Tab, Shift, Caps Lock, etc, are smaller. That said, it feels closer to standard size than to, say, a Kindle type-pad. Typing is easy for my average-size hands.
