it does have an internal heater. It actually has a tub clean selection that heats the water hotter than your hot water to clean itself which is nice so you don't need to buy after market cleaners or solution.by

How much space do I need to plan for behind the washer to accommodate hookups and cords? The stated depth of this unit is 28-3/4 inches, but I don't expect I can install it in an area that shallow. Thanks.by

The stated depth of 28-3/4 is the actual physical depth of the unit. The manual illustrates on page 12 that you need an ADDITIONAL 4" of clearance behind that. In my installation, I have two 60-degree hose adapters, which points the hoses downward instead of straight out the back, which free up enough clearance to allow me to have it about 2.5" - 3" from the wall. So you MUST have at least 31-3/4 inches TOTAL depth available for this unit.by

The WT5070CW requires the following installation clearances:1 inch on each side and in the front
4 inches behind the unit

Sounds like a loose thread was pulled out and left spaces behind where the thread was. Most fabrics are woven (one thread crosses over another), and when one layer is removed, it leaves the space behind. I wash my towels separate from everything else. Sheets and pillowcases are washed together only. Perhaps the roughness of the towels snagged one of the threads in the pillowcase and pulled it out?9 years, 4 months ago

I had the same problem, then started being aware of what I washed with clothes with zippers. Zip and button jeans and zip up sweatshirts before washing to prevent zipper snagging - noticeably fewer holes! I now try to wash zippered items along to protect my thinner knits as well. Good luck!by

That should not happen. It may be that because of water resistant items the drum becomes unbalanced but not because of the small size of the load. Water proof/resistant items should not be washed in this machine.by

I noticed that theb Ultra Large Capacity washing machines and compatible dryers have limited warranties. All other comparable LG sets (Large Capacity, Ultra Capacity) do not indicate their warranties are limited. Do these models have special parts or discontinued?by

I have only washed 6 loads so far, lightly soiled. The last load washed was a small load of baby clothes using HE detergent not even filled all the way to the 1st line on the cup. After the load was done, there is a thick greasy film covering the entire drum. What is this and why did it happen? I always leave the lid open to air dry after wash and ensure there is no detergent residue in the detergent dispenser.by

I noticed when I select a cycle with WARM water, the warm water came out for not even a minute (the lid started to fog a bit) but then switched to COLD WATER. I ried to reset it and even tried setting it to HOT yet nothing but COLD came out. Nothing is wrong with the hose connections etc. This is soooooo annoying. I want to be able to use HOT or WARM when selected! Why is this happening?by
