They come ready to connect to natural gas, but can be converted to LP (liquid propane) with the addition of Samsung's LPKIT-3 accessory conversion kit. Thanks for the question. Per the DV405 user manual, a 1/2” gas supply line is recommended and must be reduced to connect to the 3/8” gas line on the dryer. For more information, please refer to the user manual which can be downloaded as a pdf file from Samsung's website for easy reference, or to the installation guide that comes with the dryer. Samsung strongly recommends having the dryer installed by a qualified technician to ensure it is done safely and adheres to local and national building codes.

Thanks for your interest. The DV405GTPASU and other Samsung gas dryers can be vented through the back, or through the bottom or left side with the addition of the DV-1A vent kit. It cannot be vented through the right side because of the location of the gas valve. The electric dryers, however, can be vented in any of the four directions.
